We’re always open to new members—whether you’re new to chess, returning after a break, or looking for strong competition and a sociable club atmosphere. Please come along to any of our Monday club nights for a free taster session.
Hammersmith Chess Club has over 250 members from all backgrounds, ages, and levels. Our venue, the London Mindsports Centre, offers a safe, modern space with great facilities. It’s the perfect home for our regular club nights, coaching, tournaments, and league matches.
💸 Membership Rates (2026/27 Season)
Our membership season runs to August 2027. Rates are as follows:

- Standard Fee: £90
- Women, Girls: £45
- Concessions (unwaged or children qualifying for free school meals): £45
- Titled Players (GM/IM/FM): £20
- Junior Hour: £150 (in addition to Junior membership)

♟ Want to Play League Chess?
If you’d like to represent the club in competitive matches, you’ll also need English Chess Federation (ECF) membership. This is also a requirement to play rated games at Thursday club nights, or to participate in some of our Monday night tournaments.

- Adults: from £21/year (Bronze membership – suitable for league play)
- Juniors: from £7.50/year (Bronze – first year free)
